The Architecture Foundation has launched its quest to create a directory of 'Next Generation Architects' who will design Britain's next tranche of commercial buildings.
In partnership with Pipers, the AF is seeking 'architectural practices that can make a difference... [which] bring new ideas and challenge conventions, while also being able to work to a commercial brief'.
From the directory, a single practice will be selected for the Pipers Award for exceptional new work in the commercial field.
The winning practice will be flown to Cannes and presented at MIPIM in March next year.
Previous winners of the award – the deadline for which is 14 December – include de Rijke Marsh Morgan in 2005, FAT in 2006, and Jamie Fobert Architects in 2007.
