The 'peek-a-boo' 24-storey (107m-tall) block just off Madison Square Park will cantilever 9m over its eastern neighbour.

The building will house 18 luxury apartments and share a main lobby, pool and gym with the One Madison Park tower next-door on 23rd street. Both schemes are being backed by developer Slazer Enterprises.

Koolhaas said: 'Mirroring the traditional New York setback, the building's form is at once familiar and distinctive and provides a number of unexpected moments that appear at each step.'
