Zaha unveils seven Singapore towers

Zaha Hadid Architects' has revealed these designs for Singapore's largest residential development.

The £1.1 billion project, called Farrer Road, is located on an 83,500m2 site and includes seven 36-storey towers and 12 villas.

Hadid said: 'We have been working in Singapore for almost a decade and the Farrer Road development is a continuation of our detailed research into the urban fabric of the city.

'The seven tower development on one of Singapore's most prominent sites represents further exploration into the tower typology and our studies into organizational systems and growth in the natural world.

Hadid added: 'The towers are subdivided into petals according to the layout of each level to form a series of diverse and distinctive buildings.'

It's quite sad for such 'appreciated' designer to try to justify an anonymous and not architecturally significant buildings development.

Just like the worst of 1950s/1960s housing towers. Hadid = sold out.
