Studio Egret West has unveiled its second attempt at a mixed-use development next to Sidcup Station in south London.
The practice's original design for a 17-storey development - officially called Athena House but nicknamed the Lego Block by locals - was rejected by Bexley Council last summer because of car parking and 'density' issues.
The new nine-storey scheme for developer the Cathedral Group has been renamed The Fold and will house 98 homes, a restaurant and two shops.

Describing the scheme, practice founder David West, said: 'The building takes the concept and desirability of a three storey home and folds it into a nine-storey building leading to a series of overlapping volumes clad in a variety of textured brass panels.
'It engages with the proportion of the high street, continuing the three-storey datum and gently rising closer to the railway line in a series of curved folds.'
A new planning application was submitted last week.
