Richard Rogers honoured in Queen's Birthday list

Richard Rogers has been made a Companion of Honour in the Queen's Birthday List.
The peer, who was created Baron Rogers of Riverside in 1996, will join the exclusive list of 65 people who have been recognised for their contribution to the arts, science, medicine or government.
Rogers will join the likes of Lucian Freud, Stephen Hawking, David Attenborough, David Hockney and former Prime Minister John Major.
Rogers said: 'I am very proud to be made a Companion of Honour and grateful for the opportunity it gives me to raise awareness of the importance of quality in architecture and design.
'I would also like to thank all those people I have worked with in more than 40 years as an architect. This recognition is as much for their achievements as it is for mine.'
