Croydon Council has appointed EPR Architects to design its new headquarters, as part of a £450 million masterplan for the southern part of the town centre.
The London-based practice was part of the successful John Laing bid team to be named as the preferred private-sector partner to redevelop the site.
According to the firm, the new masterplan, which will redevelop four council-owned sites, will include two 40-storey towers and deliver more than 1,300 new residential units.
The contract between Laing and Croydon is expected to be signed in October.
