London-based firm DSDHA has gained planning permission from Westminster City Council for this mixed-use development in the heart of Soho.
The scheme for Beak Street, which is in a conservation area, is the first Modern design to achieve approval since Richard Rogers' Broadwick Street development in 1996.
The 1,860m2 scheme for City and General, which is clad entirely in silver ceramic tiles, is the practice's first building in Westminster.
Work is expected to start on site in early 2009.
