It's a slippery slope for Zaha, who follows Guggenheim win with a giant slide

Zaha Hadid will create a giant slide for a major new exhibition in Gloucestershire called the Artists' Playground.

Along with Hadid, who recently won the competition to design the Guggenheim in Vilnius, Lithuania (AJ online 09.04.08), artist Jeppe Hein will design a mirrored labyrinth (pictured bottom), German artist Carston Höller, who created slides for Tate Modern's Turbine Hall, is producing a flying machine, Henry Krokatsis will carve a Gothic tree-house, and James Hopkins will create a giant kaleidoscope and camera obscura inside oversized champagne bottles. 

The exhibition, to be held at Sudeley Castle, is based around the theme of play and has been conceived by curators Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst and Elliot McDonald.

The installation will see Hadid being reunited with art dealer Kenny Schachter, who previously commissioned Hadid to design him a car, who has co-ordinated the design element of the exhibition, bringing in artist Richard Woods and product and interior desiners Tom Dixon and Arik Levy.

The exhibition will run from 31 May to 31 October.
