Terry Farrell has lent his weight to a planned Green Paper that aims to bring together the construction industry to combat its effect on climate change.
The Green Paper, pulled together by property charity the Sustainable Environment Foundation, will 'radically reform the planning system' and is expected to be submitted to government within the year.
Farrell joins the likes of Quintain chief executive Adrian Wyatt and chief executive of the London Climate Change Agency Allan Jones on the board of trustees of the Sustainable Environment Foundation.
On announcing the Green Paper at the Low Carbon World conference held at the Royal Geographic Society yesterday (17 April), Wyatt said the current business model used in the property business is 'fatally flawed'.
'Without new ways of doing business we will repeat the errors of the past and our one-off opportunity to rectify the issues we face in the built environment will be lost,' he said.
