Lords to debate architecture

The House of Lords

The House of Lords will hold a debate on architecture for the first time in four years.

The debate is being scheduled to 'call to attention the case for encouraging high-quality architecture in the UK and for ensuring that design quality is taken into account by local planning authorities'.

Led by former architecture minister Lord Howarth of Newport, the debate will include the likes of Richard Rogers delivering their views on architecture and the planning system. It will take place ahead of the Planning Bill, which will be considered in the House of Lords after Easter.

Baroness Andrews of the Department for Communities and Local Government will be the minister responding to the debate.

Architectural practice throughout the world has seen fantastic exposure in this

past 20 years.The event in Parliament to Review,even though after 4 years is

welcome event !

Our modern developed socities and city developements can only function in

these times only when they are planned with all the neccessary infrastructure

in place,in this light the men at the top should put themselves fully into this

not only for their cities but also becoming a role models for the whole world

body.

I am sure this should open up new avenues for one

all and to simulate a new world , where mankind lives in .
