They're putting something in the tea at Panter Hudspith these days. The practice has made it on to another RIBA competition shortlist – this time in the contest to redevelop the City North site in Finsbury Park, north London.
The firm, which has just won the Royal Tunbridge Wells cinema contest, also narrowly missed out on the RIBA's Bentley library competition last week.
Attracting more than 60 entries, the five finalists include Benson + Forsyth, the ubiquitous Studio Egret West, FLACQ and stalwart John McAslan + Partners.
The practices were asked to look at the area around Finsbury Park Station (pictured), paying particular attention to how to 'improve the quality of public spaces and provide a range of land uses including residential, retail, offices, conference space, restaurants and cafés.'
Next month, the shortlisted firms will present their proposals to the competition promoters – the Business Design Centre Group.
