The collection contains the original plans to Sydney Harbour Bridge and images of the Forth Road Bridge in Scotland, the Auckland Harbour Bridge in New Zealand, and the Bangkok Memorial Bridge in Thailand.

Until now the archive has previously been virtually inaccessible to the public and contains unsorted material drawn from over 40 iron and steel companies active in the Teesside area between 1840 and 1980.

Teesside Archive plans to digitise the documents, which are held at Middlesbrough County Archive, in order to put as much of the information as possible on the Internet.
