Andy Burnham has replaced James Purnell as Culture Secretary in the reshuffle following Peter Hain's resignation yesterday (24 January).
Yvette Cooper will take Burnham's place as chief secretary to the Treasury, with Caroline Flint stepping into Cooper's former role of housing minister.
Burnham, 38, is MP for Leigh and will be taking over the challenging role of overseeing the 2012 London Olympics.
Flint will be making the large step from minister for employment to take over as housing minister, a position which has a seat in the cabinet.
Flint will oversee one of Prime Minister Gordon Brown's major agendas, to deliver three million new homes by 2020.
It will be the most senior position the 46-year-old MP for Don Valley has held during her time in Parliament
