The long-running saga surrounding Aukett Fitzroy Robinson's plans to overhaul north London's famous Alexandra Palace has taken yet another twist.
Last week the building's leaseholder, and the backer of ambitious £55 million proposals for the landmark, Firoka, was booted out of the palace.
The move followed a decision by the Alexandra Palace Charitable Trust, which oversees the running of the building on behalf of Haringey Council, to terminate Firoka's tenancy.
However, it is understood the company remains the 'preferred choice' to carry out the huge redevelopment of the palace, and now has less than a fortnight to make a 'firm commitment' to the project.
