Zaha reveals ‘City of Dreams’ hotel in Macau

[First look] Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) has unveiled plans for a new 40-storey hotel in Macau, China

The 150,000m² skyscraper has been designed as a flagship venue for Asian casino and resort developer Melco Crown Entertainment.

The hotel project features 780 rooms alongside gaming areas, meeting facilities, a spa, sky pool and several restaurants.

ZHA’s design also includes an exposed exoskeleton and a series of voids which define the hotel’s internal public spaces.

Construction work on the City of Dreams scheme started last year and is expected to complete in early 2017.
