Works nears completion on Fielden Clegg Bradley's Worcester library

Construction has nearly finished on Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios’ £40 million golden library and history centre in Worcester

The 11,000m² competition scheme is actually clad in a copper aluminium alloy and will eventually house nearly a quarter of a million books and more than 26,000 records of historic monuments and buildings.

The practice beat Bennetts Associates and Pringle Richards Sharratt to win the project for the University of Worcester and Worcestershire County Council in 2009.

The building is due to officially open in July (2012).
