Woods Bagot unveils iceberg concept for stalled sites

Woods Bagot has revealed a modular iceberg design to spruce up stalled construction sites

The inflatable structure can be used for retail, exhibitions and cultural events and can potentially generate finance for stalled projects from advertising and temporary rents.

Nik Karalis, global design director at Woods Bagot, said: ‘The real beauty of the inflatable buildings is that they can be put up very quickly and taken away even quicker, thus making them a totally flexible solution.

‘Unlike existing temporary building solutions across the Europe and the US, our “Iceberg” buildings have a good-looking presence in the street with an aura of cutting-edge design.’

The design features a core steel structure wrapped in EFTE.
