Will Alsop: A retiring fellow

Will Alsop has another reason to be cheery after his early retirement from… retirement

It was announced last week that he has been named distinguished visiting practitioner in architecture at Ryerson University in Toronto. Alsop is to deliver his first lecture to Ryerson students and faculty at the end of this month on Preparing for Architectural Practice.

Astragal wonders whether the talk will include a discussion of the various methods of announcing early retirement as a smokescreen for the abandonment of your own practice.
