Wilkinson Eyre unveils City of London footbridge

[First look + drawings] Wilkinson Eyre has submitted plans for this footbridge between two banks in the City of London

If approved, the rib cage-like stainless steel and glass scheme will connect the fifth floors of Winchester House and Pinners Hall in Old Broad Street.

The Stirling Prize-winning practice has already designed and completed upper-storey link bridges in other central London locations, including the Floral Street ‘Bridge of Aspiration’ for the Royal Ballet School in 2003.
