Whitstable Healthcare Centre, Kent, by Astudio

[First look] Richard Hyams’ Astudio – the practice Hyams set up two and a half years ago after leaving as head of Aedas’s creative studio - has completed its first building

The £3.2 million Whitstable Medical Practice in Kent houses both private and public healthcare facilities.

According to the practice the 2,200 m² scheme, with its ‘finned’ timber façade, was inspired by the local breakwaters and beach huts. The majority of the consulting rooms have views towards the sea.

  • Sorry but it's plain awuful-cheap tricks and the staining makes it look like a bin closure... people need to learn some basic skills to design a plain and nice building. awuful.....
