Trellick Tower masterplan revealed

[IMAGES + PLANS] Novarc Studio has drawn up a masterplan for the area surrounding the Trellick Tower in West London

The plans, produced with the local residents’ association, were needed after the demolition of part of the tower’s garage block and the neighbouring Edenham Old People’s Home.

The North Kensington proposals include an ambitious public square as well as a new health centre, older people’s accommodation and community facilities (see slideshow of images above).

Local councillor Emma Dent Coad said: ‘The draft proposal has exceeded all my expectations and residents are delighted by this thoughtful and well-considered People’s Plan. It respects and complements Trellick Tower while serving local needs, and creates a new focal point for north Kensington.’

The proposals will now be shown to prospective partners who have expressed interest, including the primary care trust, council officers, a housing association and the Kensington & Chelsea TMO who manage Trellick Tower.
