TP Bennett wins green light for Seifert-inspired tower

TP Bennett has won planning permission for this sinuous 146-apartment residential development for developer Londonewcastle in Croydon, south London

Drawing reference from the nearby Richard Seifert-designed No. 1 Croydon tower (pictured below), the Quest House scheme close to East Croydon Station features two 11-storey and 15-storey blocks with landscaped amenity space.

A spokesman for the practice said: ‘The dynamic form of the towers evolved from the concept of opening out the scheme’s central amenity space to the adjacent residential street, allowing the buildings to become sculpted objects within a landscaped setting that inform, integrate and harmonise with each other.’
