Tony Meadows among finalists for Sydney Metro

London-based Tony Meadows Associates has been shortlisted as part of a team to design the new Sydney CBD Metro

The architect is part of a larger consortium comprising Laing O’Rourke, Bombardier Serco and the Sydney Metro Office  competing for the contract to develop Sydney’s first underground rail system from Central Station to Rozella in the east.

Also competing for the project is Keolis, Downer EDI Rail, Thales, Bovis Lend Lease and McConnell Dowell Constructors.

Work will include 7km of new tunnels, six new stations and a train maintenance depot.
