Sturgis unveils Reading tower plans

Simon Sturgis Associates has revealed plans to replace Reading’s 1974 Thames Tower with a 25-storey office skyscraper

Planned to complete by 2015, the 27,900m² project supersedes an earlier redevelopment attempt by Gaunt Francis and is aiming for a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Project backer LaSalle Investment Management intends to submit a planning application for the scheme, which also includes ground-level shops, later this summer (2012).

The building could complete by the end of 2015.
