Studiodare reveals Battersea Underground station plans

[FIRST LOOK] Studiodare has unveiled the first images of its design for a new Northern Line station which will serve the Rafael Vinoly-masterplanned Battersea Power Station project

The scheme is part of a planned £850 million extension to London Undergrounds’ Northern Line which will feature a spur from Kennington connecting with new stations at Nine Elms and the grade II*-listed power station.

Public consultation is ongoing over the route of the extension, which is vital to Vinoly’s vision for the power station and part financed its developers, Treasury Holdings.

The practice, who in 2008 worked on feasibility for the project, have worked up their designs to RIBA stage C ahead of a transport and works application.

Studiodare Architects with Buro Happold are part of the Halcrow led design team for the station.

Public consultation is ongoing over the route of the extension, which is  vital to the redevelopment of Nine Elms and part financed by Battersea power station developers Treasury Holdings.
