Studio Egret West unveils park for stem-cell research

Studio Egret West has unveiled its design for a £100 million MediPark in Nottingham, designed to house more than 200 medical firms

Located opposite the Queen’s Medical Centre, the 3.5ha site is designed to be a hub of stem-cell research. Studio Egret West’s design features a number of leaf-shaped buildings, clustered together in threes to form a cloverleaf shape.

Subject to planning permission, the scheme will be developed in three phases. Each one includes three buildings with interconnected arms, providing space for a mix of private research, medical, collaborative work and laboratories.

Consultation on the scheme starts this week, with plans set to be submitted to Nottingham City Council next month.
