Stride Treglown completes £11m Portishead Marina regeneration

[First look + plans] Stride Treglown has added the final touches to this waterside regeneration of Portishead Marina

Inspired by the ritzy waterfronts at ‘Biarritz and St Tropez’, the design by the AJ100 practice features nine townhouses and 60 flats. Ground floor retail units have now been occupied.

Completed in 2012, the project – known as Sixty8 Port Marine – won Best Mixed Use Development at this year’s Sunday Times British Home Awards while the studio was also named Architect of the Year.

Commenting on the award, Stride Treglown director Dominic Eaton said: ‘We had hoped we would win something, and I thought it would most likely be for our Crest Homes Projects in Portishead or Gloucester (which was also shortlisted) but to get Architect of the Year as well is just fantastic.’
