Stratford Kiosks contest shortlist revealed

The Architecture Foundation has revealed the five-strong shortlist for the competition to design a series of new Olympics information kiosks at Stratford in east London

The Design for London-backed competition asked designers to propose schemes for a permanent group of kiosks for Meridian Square, just outside Stratford Regional Station.

The shortlisted practices are: Bell Phillips Architects, Moxon Architects, studio octopi, Ginseng Chicken Architecture P.C. (scheme pictured) and 42 Architects.

Each practice has been awarded £1,500 to develop their designs to RIBA stage D, the winning team will be appointed to supervise the project through to RIBA stage L.

Images from the shortlist and 15-strong longlist will be exhibited at Stratford Old Town Hall from this Saturday (18 September) to 26 September as part of the London Design Festival 2010.
