Stewart named Edinburgh Architectural Association president

Ian Stewart of BDG architecture + design has been appointed President of the Edinburgh Architectural Association

The founding member of BDG’s Edinburgh office will hold the position for two years at the same time as being RIAS vice president.

Stewart, who has practised for more than 30 years, said he would focus on building bridges between businesses and education.

He said: ‘I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to take an active role in the development of the architectural profession in Scotland. One of my key objectives will be to forge stronger links with architectural practices and the School of Architecture in Edinburgh.’
