Stanton Williams only UK practice on Grand Musee d'Art shortlist
Stanton Williams is the only Brit one the five-strong shortlist in the international design competition for the Grand Musee d’Art in Nantes
The £35 million project includes the renovation of the existing Musee des Beaux-Arts, one of the five leading regional art museums, and a new extension in an adjacent site to provide an additional 5,800 sq m of facilities and exhibition space for contemporary art collections.
Also on the shortlist are Dominique Perrault Architecture, Manuelle Gautrand Architecture, GPAA, l’atelier Barani SA, Gaëlle Peneau architectes associés.
The winning scheme will be announced in November.
