Seth Stein finishes Jewish cemetery restoration

Seth Stein Architects has completed this restoration of an 18th century Jewish cemetery in the heart of the Mile End campus of Queen Mary, University of London.

The project includes a cantilevered walkway that floats above the burial ground.

Andrew Abdulezer of Seth Stein Architects said: ‘The brief was to integrate the site into the fabric of the University so as to improve the
circulation of pedestrian traffic. At the same time, we needed a scheme that would raise awareness of the Cemetery as a cultural asset within the campus.’
