Scott Brownrigg scoops planning for £25m Southampton hotel

[First look] Scott Brownrigg has won planning permission for this 1.18 ha waterfront hotel and residential project in Southampton

The mixed-use scheme for MDL Marinas – inspired by a ‘super-yacht’ according to the architect – includes 82 private apartments and five-star hotel.

Scott Brownrigg director Una Barac said: ‘We are delighted to be delivering this high profile, landmark scheme. It has been a tremendous experience working with a highly reputable hotel operator to add another signature hotel to their impressive portfolio.’

Approved by local authority Southampton City Council, the hotel includes 76 bedrooms, a roof terrace, waterside restaurant and 1,000m² spa.
