Rolfe Judd reveals high and low options for south London site

[First look] Rolfe Judd has unveiled a pair of alternative schemes for a site on Blackfriars Road in south London

A consultation hs been launched featuring two options for the Linden Homes-backed development - one featuring a 24-storey tower, the other a lower rise scheme approximately half the height.

The project at 169-172 Blackfriars Road would replace a number of garages and a pub to create a residential scheme with retail, cultural and community space at ground level.

More than 2,000 newsletters have been sent to local residents and a public exhibition was run last week.

Steve Bangs, Linden Homes South East managing director, said: ‘We are at a very early stage in the planning process and we keen to listen to what local people have got to say.  We are presenting two schemes to give people a choice during the pubic consultation process.

‘We will be reviewing the feedback from the consultation before we progress with any planning application, which we intend to submit towards the end of the year.’
