Rogers’ Tideway Wharf scheme lands planning

Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) has won planning permission for its £50 million Tideway Wharf project in Nine Elms, south London

Located opposite the proposed Kieran Timberlake-designed American Embassy, RSHP’s scheme features 752 new homes, a new hotel, shops, cafés, restaurants, bars, offices and a crèche.

Nick Cuff, Wandsworth Council’s planning committee chairman, said: ‘This scheme will transform a semi-derelict industrial estate, creating acres of new public space and hundreds of new homes.

‘With more major schemes on the horizon momentum is really starting to build in Nine Elms and the scale of the regeneration taking place is becoming increasing clear.’

Project developer St James Group has pledged a £30 million contribution towards extending the Northern Line into the area.

In November the project received a positive CABE design review.
