RMJM sacks managing principal of Scottish studio

RMJM managing principal Alistair Brand has been fired

Brand – who worked for RMJM for 17 years – was escorted from his Glasgow office by security guards this morning (16 January) and had his mobile phone confiscated.

An RMJM spokesperson confirmed he was dismissed at 9.30am. His biography and photograph have also been removed from RMJM’s website. No official reason for his dismissal has been given.

Yesterday, a Scottish newspaper printed allegations about the company which have since been removed. The report was taken off the Herald Scotland website this afternoon.

Concerning the article, a RMJM spokesperson said: ‘Following publication of two articles in this weekend’s Sunday Herald containing a number of misleading, inaccurate and defamatory allegations, lawyers acting on behalf of RMJM have written to the editor demanding a retraction and apology, as well as payment of damages.’
