RMJM, BDP, Atkins and Sheppard Robson are among eight practices shortlisted to redevelop the workplace of acclaimed English poet Philip Larkin

The contest is part of a programme for the £10 million ‘substantive’ redevelopment of Hull University’s Brynmor Jones Library where Larkin served as university librarian for 30 years until his death in 1985.

The full shortlist includes: Associated Architects, RMJM Scotland, BDP, Shepheard Epstein Hunter, Atkins, Farrell & Clark, Sheppard Robson and Wilson Mason and Partners.

The project is scheduled for completion in September 2013 and the contest winner will be announced in August.
