Japanese architect Kengo Kuma has won a design competition for the 7,000 m² Aix-en-Provence music, choral, dance and theatre Conservatoire. The project value is 13 million Euros.
Paris-based Atelier Cattani Architects with engineers Sletec have won the 4.39 million Euros project to transform the former bus depot in Chaumont into a multiplex cinema with 8 screens and 1,100 seats
ProRail BV has launched a design competition for the transformation of Sloterdijk railway station at Amsterdam. The station is anticipated to have 100,000 passengers a day by 2020 and forms part of the Teleport Amsterdam multifunctional office area. The current situation is increasingly complex and unsafe for both travellers and drivers, with inadequate facilities for buses and trams. The intention is to improve the main entrance and bus and tram links, as well as improving the general functionality, liveliness and attractiveness of the station.
