RIBA to freeze fees again

The RIBA has announced it will freeze its annual membership fee for the second year running

In an effort to lift the burden off recession-hit practices the institute has revealed plans to keep subscription costs at 2009 levels.

Harry Rich, RIBA chief executive, explained: ‘The RIBA is committed to its members and the unprecedented economic conditions make it more important than ever that the Government and clients are in no doubt about the value that architects and architecture add to our economy and society.

‘Despite the tough economic climate, the RIBA’s commercial activity still generates four pounds of income for every pound we collect in membership subscriptions.’
