RIBA Awards: International winners revealed

Foster + Partners and John McAslan & Partners each picked up a brace of 2011 RIBA International Awards  

Hailed by the institute as a ‘star-studded cast of imaginative and breathtaking buildings’, the 13 projects (see full citations, attached right) will now go forward for consideration for this year’s Lubetkin Prize. A shortlist is expected to be unveiled in July.

Bob Allies, Gianni Botsford, Alison Brooks, Tony Chapman, Peter Clegg, Paul Finch, Murray Fraser, Philip Gumuchdjian, Deborah Saunt, Bill Taylor and Cindy Walters    

The Lubetkin Prize:

The award is given to an ‘outstanding work of architecture’ by a UK architect working outside the EU or a non-UK-based RIBA member working anywhere in the world.
