Revealed: Hackney City Farm’s pick of the shop crop

Hackney City Farm in London has announced the winner of its competition to design a new shop and information point

The ‘Sill to Sill’ design (pictured), featuring locally salvaged sash windows, by Benedetta Rogers, Julian Bond, Lucy Paton and Sigrid Bylander, was picked from a shortlist of five.

The proposal was singled out by the judges for its ‘inherent flexibility’ and ‘very good outline of [the] construction process.’ It was also described as a ‘fun design that doesn’t rely on skilled labour’.
