PRP reveals Myatts Field community hub and park

[FIRST LOOK] PRP has submitted a planning application for this community facility and park in the Myatts Field North estate in Lambeth, south London

The new community centre will feature a cafe, crèche, community rooms, music/youth room, IT suite, and management office for the entire estate.

The park will be one of the capitals largest new parks outside of the Olympic area.

PRP has undertaken the masterplan for the entire Myatt’s Field North regeneration project and has got approval for 808 homes of which detailed approval has been obtained for 485 homes.

Richard Harvey, Associate Director at PRP comments: ‘The community centre is designed to slip under the new park to maximise amenity space. The building will provide a multi-functional community hub and is the result of extensive consultation with the local community.’

  • I have a particular interest in this area as I lived close to Myatts Fields during the war when In was attending the Brixton School of Building and after the war in my early days of my first marraige.

It was always a very nice area in which to live and should now be even better with these proposals.
