Profit dips, but staff numbers and turnover up at FCBS
Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios’ (FCBS) turnover increased 12 per cent last year to £11.1 million as the practice continues to grow
According to accounts for the year ending 31 March 2013 filed at Companies House today, the limited liability partnership also took on five extra staff, boosting its workforce to 133.
However, although the practice’s revenue was up from £9.88 million posted in 2012, profits more than halved, falling from £778,006 to £336,918 over the same period.
The drop has been parlty blamed on the cost of setting up a new Belfast office, which will serivce its huge £250 million Belfast City Campus project for the University of Ulster (see AJ 14.03.13).
The practice is currently ranked 16th in the AJ100 league table of the country’s largest practices, having risen from 25th in 2011.
Earlier this month FCBS’ ‘significant and visually striking’ Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and Student Hub took home the top prize at the British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA) – the Prime Minister’s Award.
