Printworks housing scheme, Southwark by Glenn Howells Architects

[FIRST LOOK] Work has finished on this 164-flat scheme in South London by Glenn Howells Architects for housing developer First Base

The seven-storey development in Amelia Street, Southwark, features a mix of ‘affordable homes for keyworkers alongside private for sale and socially-rented homes’ and sits on the site of a former printworks.

Hailed as making ‘a substantial contribution to the regeneration of the Elephant & Castle area’, the scheme was backed bythe Homes and Communities Agency, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Greater London Authority.

The ground floor is given over to offices.
