PLP reveals 'Zuidas' Amsterdam office scheme

These are the first images of PLP Architecture’s 40,000m² office project in Amsterdam, Holland, for Deloitte and Dutch legal company AKD

The city centre scheme is part of Amsterdam’s 270-hectare ‘Zuidas’ redevelopment masterplan which features a medical centre, university and business buildings.

PLP’s addition comprises a 15-storey atrium surrounded by lift cores and circulation bridges. Within the building is a ‘grand café’, a restaurant, exhibition spaces and conference facilities.

Ron Bakker, partner at the practice, said: ‘The Deloitte and AKD office is an exciting project; not only for the design team at PLP but also because of its economic stimulus for the wider Zuidas area, which is set to become one of Europe’s most significant business districts.

‘The atrium is the heart of the new business community and plays a major role in the building’s environmental strategy.’
