Pie wins Irish town plan

Emerging practice Pie Architecture has won the open competition to masterplan the overhaul of the existing Station House and the space around itin the town of Carlingford, southern Ireland

The starlets set out eight proposals to renew the town’s link with the waters’ edge of Carlingford Lough. The first stage of the project, the Station House revamp, will be go to tender in the summer.

The practice was set up by Fran Balaam and Michael Corr in March 2010 (see AJ 04.02.2011).
