Nottingham architecture school completes Ecobuild pavilion

Students from the University of Nottingham Department of Architecture and Built Environment have created a pavilion from recycled shipping pallets at Ecobuild in London

Called ‘The Nottingham Shipping Shelter’, the project uses recycled shipping pallets, scaffolding parts and strapping elements to create a structure combining sustainability with ‘attractive spatial’ qualities.

The scheme was designed to provide a flexible shelter space and has been erected at this week’s Ecobuild sustainability conference in London to provide visitors with a space for contemplation.
