Northwich Cultural Centre shortlist revealed

The AJ can exclusively reveal images from the five finalists in the contest to design the new Northwich Vision Cultural Centre

The names of the architects behind the shortlisted schemes will remain anonymous until this Friday (20 March), when the RIBA’s competition office expects to announce a winner.

It is understood that two of the designs are by Dutch firms, Atelier MS and NOX, both from Rotterdam. They are joined in the final by DLA Archtecture’s London office, the Manchester-based practice Jefferson Sheard Architects and the University of Edinburgh‘s ‘research-orientated atelier for art and architecture’ Metis, founded by Mark Dorrian and Adrian Hawker.

The finalists were chosen from more than 100 entrants, who were vying to design the new community arts centre in the Cheshire town.
