NORD wins planning for Glasgow hospice

NORD Architecture has won planning for a new £18million hospice in Glasgow

NORD’s proposals for a new facility at Bellahouston Park for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice has been granted planning permission by Glasgow City Council.

Set in a parkland landscape, the building is made up of four interconnecting villas that ‘reduce the overall perception of scale and minimise the building’s footprint’.

The hospice will house 14 patient rooms, two young adult rooms and two patient-family rooms which can accommodate up to four people each.

Clad in slate, each villa is worked around a central ‘social space’, and a veranda runs around the perimeter of the entire building.
