Muf lands spot on Bankside Urban Forest shortlist

Muf has been shortlisted to design installations for the Bankside Urban Forest in London

The Clerkenwell-based company is one of four finalists in the Better Bankside- run competition.

Public Works, Sophie Horton and Kirk:Creative with Ed Carter were also shortlisted.

Architects We Made That and Carl Turner were among sixteen teams who made the longlist. The contest initially received 50 entries.

A derelict development plot on the road – which runs east to west through Bankside – was home to the Architecture Foundation’s Bankside Urban Orchard garden installation (pictured) in 2010 and a physic garden last summer.

The site was also transformed into the Southwark Lido by EXYZT in 2009 but is now closed and undergoing redevelopment.

The winner will be appointed at the end of March.
