Moira Gemmill confirmed as AJ Small Projects 2012 judge

V&A project and design director Moira Gemmill has joined the panel for the 2012 AJ Small Projects Awards, run in association with Marley Eternit

All 24 shortlisted practices will present to this major cultural client, who commissions all built works for the Victoria and Albert Museum, in ‘a crit’ on the day of the judging.

Gemmill is a champion of small practice, having commissioned small firms such as MUMA and Glowacka Rennie for interventions at the major London museum.

The 2012 AJ Small Projects Awards, run in association with Marley Eternit, are open to unpublished projects with a total contract of £250,000 or under. Shortlisted entries will be published in the AJ, exhibited at the New London Architecture Gallery and showcased on the AJ Buildings Library.

The 2011 Small Projects prize was won by German practice Köbberling & Kaltwasser with its Jellyfish Theatre project in London, which was built for just £17,000.
